Mexican national sentenced for drug trafficking

Special to the Advance McALLEN — A 36-yearold Mexican man has been ordered to federal prison for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, announced U.S. Attorney Nicholas J. Ganjei.Angel Fabian Moreno-Rodriguez pleaded guilty Nov. 25, 2025.U.S. District Judge Drew B. Tipton sentenced Moreno- Rodriguez to serve 70 months in federal prison. Not a U.S. citizen, he is expected to face removal proceedings following the completion of his sentence.
