Unofficial results: Fallek elected as McAllen District 5 Commissioner

McAllen ISD bond passes, Sharyland's go down

On May 2, the City of McAllen had held a special election, in which voters had their say on who will be on the Board of Commissioners.

Unofficial results show that Michael Fallek won the District 5 Commission seat vacated by Victor “Seby” Haddad garnering 571 votes. He defeated Felida Villarreal (411 votes) and Mark Murray (159 votes).

“The unofficial results are in, and it’s looking like a great night for our community,” Fallek said in a Facebook post. “To my family, my incredible team of volunteers, and every voter who shared their vision with me on the campaign trail. Thank you!” McAllen ISD also had an election, in which Proposition A passed with a vote of 3,213 to 2,633.

At Sharyland ISD, three propositions all went down in defeat.
