UTRGV ends the regular season on high note

Vaqueros make SLC tourney as No. 3 seed

The UTRGV Vaqueros (26-27, 17-13), despite the rocky regular season, won their last season series against Tarleton State.
If you’re wondering where the heck that is, they are located in Stephenville.
UTRGV did start to find their groove in the latter half of the season. As a result, they earned themselves the No. 3 seed in the Southland Conference tournament.
They are set to play the No. 6 seed — Northwestern State. The Vaqueros played that team earlier in the year back in an April series and was swept 3-0.
They are set to play Thursday in Beaumont at 1 p.m.
