One of the first interviews I ever did was with Lincoln Borglum. It never appeared in one of these columns but (instead) was televised to the Rio Grande Valley.Lincoln Borglum was the son of Gutzon Borglum, the fellow who sculpted the faces of four presidents on Mount Rushmore. As you will recall, that was a monumental job requiring the use of a tremendous amount of dynamite. Gutzon died long before completing the task. His son, Lincoln, then took over and completed it. The four presidents included in this monument are George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt.
