Nikki Rowe’s Llarza signs letter of intent to play college ball

A local Rio Grande Valley high school athlete recently signed their letter of intent to play at the next level. D’Angelo K. Llarza, along with friends and family, gathered last Wednesday at Nikki Rowe High School in McAllen to celebrate the Warrior’s step to play collegiate baseball at Crowley Ridge College.

Llarza played first base for the Warriors, as well as tabbed as a designated hitter.

He helped Nikki Rowe achieve a 22-12-2 record for the season.

During the season, Llarza and the Warriors made it to the second round of the playoffs by sweeping the Brownsville Rivera Raiders in their bi-district championship bout.

Crowley Ridge College is located in Arkansas. The school competes at the NAIA level, which is roughly around the Division II and III scale of play.
