EDINBURG — The Hidalgo County Elections Department announced Monday that it is looking to hire poll workers to assist in the Nov. 3 General Election.Hidalgo County Elections Administrator, Hilda Salinas, said that a total of 900 workers are needed in order for operations to run smoothly.To apply, there are few requirements that are needed to be fulfilled before submitting an application.Here are the requirements, as per the department:• Be a registered voter of Hidalgo County.• Complete an online Poll Worker Training Session for each election.• Be prepared to work on Election Day, Nov. 3, 2026, from 5:45 a.m. to approximately ...
