EDINBURG — The city’s police chief, Jaime Ayala, has recently and officially announced his upcoming retirement from the police department.
According to a Monday release by the City of Edinburg, Ayala’s retirement will be effect Oct. 30.
Ayala started on the force back in Oct. 2021, when he retires, that will make his tenure officially five years.
