EDINBURG, TX— Hidalgo County is expanding access to essential records services through a special two-week initiative designed to accommodate residents who may find it difficult to visit county offices during regular business hours.The Hidalgo County Essential Records Fair, coordinated by the Hidalgo County Judge's Office in collaboration with the County Clerk's Office and District Clerk's Office, will provide extended service hours at the Hidalgo County Courthouse on October 13, 15, 20 and 22, 2026.On these four dates, participating offices will remain open until 7 p.m., giving residents additional opportunities to obtain birth certificates, receive assistance with passport applications, and learn ...
