DAMACIO GOMEZ

Damacio Gomez, 92, entered eternal rest Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at his residence in Edinburg.

Born in La Blanca, he had lived in Edinburg most of his life and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Refugia P. Gomez; his parents, Francisco and Celestina Gomez; a granddaughter, Baby Debbie; two sisters, Jesusa Chapa, Consuelo Rangel; and a brother, Francisco Martinez.

Mr. Gomez is survived by six sons, Damacio (Kim) Gomez of Ohio, Frank (Lydia Eva) Gomez, Samuel (Anna) Gomez, Joe Damacio (Rosa) Gomez, Manuel (Elizabeth) Gomez, David (Adriana) Gomez, all of Edinburg; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margarita Salinas Martinez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2022, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
