FELIPE ESCOBEDO, SR. ALAMO –

Felipe Escobedo, Sr., 93, entered eternal rest Friday, November 18, 2022, at Valley Grande Manor in Weslaco.

He was born on Feb. 5,

1929 in McAllen, Texas and lived in Alamo all of his life. Felipe was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church where he was in the Holy Name Society and served as an usher for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pablo Escobedo and Martina Sanchez; three sisters, Francisca E. Gonzalez, Maria E. Rubalcaba, and Sara Escobedo.

Mr. Escobedo is survived by his wife, Eva F. Escobedo; three daughters, Carmen Escobedo (Wilfredo Garza), Elva E. Murphy (Charles) and San Juanita Escobedo; seven sons, Felipe Jr., Antonio, Miguel, Carlos, Hector (Aura), Eduardo (Sarae) and Rodolfo (Debra); 14 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Norberta E. Palacios.

Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary, Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
