FRANCISCA R. SALAZAR

PHARR — Francisca R. Salazar, 93, entered eternal rest Thursday, June 2, 2022, at her residence in Pharr.

Born in Mercedes, she had lived in Pharr and was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Salazar; son, Jose Guadalupe Salazar; grandson, Rogelio Omar Leija; parents, Clemente and Refugia Ramos; siblings, Ramona Tapia, Ambrocio Ramos, Candida Fonseca and Eliberto Ramos.

Mrs. Salazar is survived by eight children, Anita Foreman, Ruben (Maria) Salazar, Antonio (Vicki) Salazar, Juan Salazar, Abel Salazar, Ernesto Salazar, Maria Isabelle Valle, Rosalva Salazar; 20 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; and six siblings, Lupito Ramos, Matias Ramos, Rosa Alvarez, Constancia Flores, Juan Ramos.

Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Monday, June 6, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment followed at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
