ISRAEL FLORES PHARR —

Israel Flores, 89, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, at his residence in Pharr.

He is preceded in death by his siblings, Noe (+Estela) Flores, Maria (+Luis) Torres, Jose (+Antonia) Flores, Silverio (Blanca) Flores, Moy (Alicia) Flores.

Mr. Flores is survived by his wife of 64 years, Maria Luisa Flores; two children, Israel (Eloisa) Flores, Jr., Itza (Jaime) Garza; nine grandchildren, Elijah D. Edwards, Gloria Vera, Iesha (Jose) Garcia, Israel (Ashely) Flores, III., Christopher Cortez, Joseph (Estefania) Garza, Ezra J. Garza, Iza J. Garza, Zarina I, Garza; seven great-grandchildren, Novalee Edwards, Lillian Edwards, Sage Graham, Conrad Schoeneberg, Melodie Garcia, Aubrey Flores, Troy Flores; a brother Jose (Gloria) Flores; and two sisters, Camila (+Jesus) Martinez, and Victoriana (+Daniel) Hernandez.

Visitation was held Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.

Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2023, at La Trinidad United Methodist Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
