Jesusa U. Silva, 93, passed away Sunday, September, 11, 2022, at her residence in Alamo surrounded by her family

Jesusa was a woman of great faith, a devoted wife, a caring mother and grandmother. She took great joy in providing for her family, with cherished memories such as her famous tortillas and beans, pitchers of freshly made sweet tea, and a countless number of meals prepared by her for the entire family.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ruben Silva Sr.; parents, Sacramento and Maria Urbina; and five siblings.

Mrs. Silva is survived by her four children, Juan (Sandy) Silva, Emma (Richard) Martinez, Ru- ben (Ines) Silva Jr., and Mary (Jorge) Garza; eleven grandchildren, Alfredo, Christina, Rebecca, Tanya, Maricela, Johnny, Rolando, Jason, Ruben III, Justin, and Joanna; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg
