LINDA LOU DUFFIELD

ALAMO — Linda Lou Duffield, 72, passed peacefully into eternity with her Lord on Friday, May 27, 2022, with family at her bedside in her residence in Alamo.

Daughter of Earl and Freda Betts, Linda Lou grew up on an Ohio dairy farm and had three older siblings. As a young girl, she accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and surrendered to serve Him wherever He would lead her. She graduated from Cedarville College with an education degree and taught school for years while also working as a missionary and church leader. She loved Christmas, horses and old Westerns and was a talented singer and baker. Many affectionately called her “the cookie lady” as she baked thousands of cookies for youth camps, church events, families and-most recentlya local homeless outreach. She loved a good joke; had a giving heart; and was a kind, faithful friend to many.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Kenneth William Duffield; and three siblings.

Mrs. Duffield is survived by her three children, Davida Blanton of Alamo, TX, Joel Duffield of Oak Ridge, TN, and Kendra Steele of McAllen, TX; and her 13 grandchildren, all whom she dearly cherished.
