LUCIA CANTU PHARR —

Lucia Cantu, 84, entered eternal rest Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.

Born in Alamo, she had lived in Pharr and was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Maria Inez Handy Cantu and Emiliano Cantu; and two sisters, Lupita Munoz and Delia Nevarez.

Mrs. Cantu is survived by her husband of 58 years, Romeo Cantu; three children, Romeo Cantu Jr. of Pharr, Corina “Cori” Cantu (Hiram) Gutierrez of McAllen, Homer Cantu of Cedar Park; three grandchildren, Joshua, Jordan and Jared; and a brother, Emiliano (Lupita) Cantu of Pharr.

Funeral service was Friday, June 23, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
