MARÍA CRISTINA CAMARGO DE MONTES

María Cristina Montes, 84, of Alamo, Texas, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on January 29, 2021.

She was born December 5, 1936 in Peto, Yucatán, Mexico. She married Raul Montes of Mexico City May 18, 1961.

Cristina and Raul were the parents of seven children, including Minerva, David, Raul Junior, Alfonso, Alicia, Saul, and Hugo. She was also the mother of the late Bilga Maria Hao Camargo; and Víctor Manuel Hao Camargo.

Cristina was a devoted Christian, member and invited pastor of Templo Emanuel Pentecostés, Templo de Alabanza and Templo La Viña Del Señor. She dedicated many years of her life to sharing the light of Jesus in the communities around her.

One of her favorite verses was El que habita al abrigo del Altisimo, Morara bajo la sombra del Omnipotente. Salmo 91.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Teudosia Camargo Rojas, her daughter Bilga Maria Hao Camargo and grandson Benjamin Montes.

She is survived by her husband, children; and grandchildren William, Adrian, Christian, Daniel, Albert, Kimberly, Sabriela, Marcos, Miguel, Jacob, Asau, Amisaday; and five great-grandchildren.

The family celebrated her life at a special service at Valverde Memorial Gardens Cemetery on February 5, 2021, where her body is buried.
