MINERVA “MINNIE” YSAGUIRRE

SAN JUAN — Minerva “Minnie” Ysaguirre, 92, peacefully departed our presence to be with the Lord on Nov. 29 at her daughter’s residence in Pharr, Texas.

Minerva resided in San Juan for 67 years. She had a uniquely radiant smile which spread gently unto others. Minnie was full of unconditional love, as well as a deep and lasting faith in our Lord and Heavenly Father, and she had a remarkably powerful prayer life. She had an uncanny ability to “see” the Blessings in each and every situation. Minnie deeply enjoyed Christian music, especially the hymnals, which she would play for hours at the end of the week when her weekly duties were honorably fulfilled. She joyfully

fulfilled her role as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, tia, and friend, in a truly sincere and affectionate way. The only thing better than a smile from Mom/ Grandma Minnie was her ever- warming embrace. Minnie lived a wonderful and fruitful life and will surely be missed by all whom she touched.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Manuel F. Ysaguirre; and her mother, Flora Mireles.

Mrs. Ysaguirre is survived by her three sons, “Jack” Ysaguirre, Noel “Hank” (Michele) Ysaguirre, Rudy (Yvette) Ysaguirre; and her daughter, Hilda (Jim) Aleman; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five sisters; and two brothers.

Visitation was held Monday at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral services took place Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.

The family wishes to express Thanks to all of those who provided loving care to my mom through the conclusion of her Earthly Journey.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
