PEDRO SALAZAR

ALAMO - Our father, Pedro Salazar, 66, peacefully passed in the loving arms of Jesus on January 12th, 2022.

He was born on October 15th, 1955 to Antonio and Petra Salazar.

Growing up he was always a dreamer. His desire to innovate would go on to shape his life and would inspire him to become a successful business owner. Pete was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and leave his mark on this earth. His children and family meant more to him than anything in the world, something he often mentioned.

Pete loved traveling, hosting barbecues at his ranch, bringing projects to life, Tejano music, the Astros and the Dallas Cowboys. More than anything, it brought him joy to see those he loved enjoy the fruits of his labor. We look forward to carrying on his legacy.

He is survived by his oldest daughter Monica, her husband Jesse Perales, his youngest daughter Ariana, and her husband Demetrios Kolitsos, and his daughter-in-law Christy Salazar. He has five grandchildren, Demitri and Aaron Salazar, Marcus and Zachary Perales, and Alexander Kolitsos. He is preceded in death by his son Aaron Salazar.

We not only mourn the loss of a loving father, but a brother, and a friend to many. We encourage anyone who knew him to re member the hard-working and charismatic personality he brought to the world.

Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton Rd. in Edinburg. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Monday, January 17, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
