RAMON L. MEDINA SR.

ALAMO – Ramon L. Medina Sr., 79, went home to the Lord Sunday, December 27, 2020, at Solara Specialty Hospitals in McAllen.

Born in Tamaulipas, Mexico, Ramon lived in Alamo for most of his life.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Nicolasa Medina; his parents, Lucio and Petra Medina; and a brother, Cecilio Medina.

Ramon is survived by three children, Ramon (Heather) Medina Jr. of Edinburg, Juana Maria “Janie” Rodriguez of Alamo, Oscar (Marisol) Medina of Kyle, TX; six grandchildren, Caleb Nicholas Medina of Edinburg, Jose Remigio Rodriguez Jr. of Alamo, Carlos Daniel Medina, Jonathan Nathaniel Medina, Victoria Nicole Medina, all of Kyle, TX; and six siblings, Salome Medina, Rafaela Arredondo, Maria G. Hernandez, Ignacio Medina, Paulita Cardona, and Angelica Alvarado, all of Alamo.

Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Monday, December 28, 2020, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Memorial Funeral Home. Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
