SUSANA M. BENAVIDEZ

EDINBURG — Susana M. Benavidez, 89, entered eternal rest Sunday, February 27, 2022.

Born in San Juan, she had lived in Edinburg most of her life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rodolfo V. Benavidez.

Susana is survived by a daughter, Maribel Benavidez of Mission; two sons, Noel Benavidez of Mission, Rodolfo (Pamela) Benavidez Jr. of San Angelo; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Miguel (San Juanita) Martinez, Vicente Martinez, Lucila (Eliud) Tellez, Lola Cano, and Senorina Martinez.

Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary February 28, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Memorial service took place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment of cremated remains will be at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
