VICTOR SANCHEZ

McALLEN — Victor Sanchez passed away at the age of 60 on July 17, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Pharr, Texas on January 1, 1959 to Mr. and Mrs. Cecilio Sanchez.

Victor is survived by his parents, mother Angelica Molina, father Cecilio Sanchez Jr., his son Victor Jr., sisters Gloria and Cecilia, and several relatives, nieces and nephews.

Victor was raised in Pharr, Texas where he attended grammar/junior high schools and was a graduate of PSJA High School class of 1977. While in high school, he was a proud member of the “Bears” track team establishing a state record that still stands to this day. He attended Texas A&I College (now Texas A&M Kingsville) on a track scholarship.

Victor was a 28-year dedicated employee of the Hidalgo County Clerk’s Office under the direction of Mrs. Laura Hinojosa. Special thanks are extended to her, his co-workers and close friends for the prayers, kindness, love and support extended during his extended illness.

Victor resided in McAllen during the last 28 years of his life. He was an avid sportsman, very active in South Texas hunting as well as ›shing in the bay areas of South Padre Island.

Funeral services, under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, were held July 20, 2019. Interment followed at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens located on North Sugar Road, Pharr, Texas.
