Open wide the border

I’m sick of this national sovereignty stuff with us vs. Mexico. I say, just open up the entire border and completely eliminate it, and let the two countries merge into one. Call it Mexamerica or something even catchier maybe — Amerimex?

Mexico has the better beer, better coffee, better weather girls, and better beaches, as long as bullets aren’t flying, killing hapless tourists. The people are usually warmer and friendlier than your typical uptight American. Plus, they don’t lust after material wealth as much as we do. Just give a Mexican a hammock, a cold beer, and some peace and quiet, and he’s a happy guy. He may only have 10 pesos left in his pocket, but, hey, amigo, life is good.

In America, seldom do I run across any peace and quiet. Everybody’s hollering at each other these days. In Mexico, they’re taking a siesta. When the drug cartels aren’t shooting up the place. That’s the beauty of my

That’s the beauty of my idea, though. With no border, the impoverished Mexicans will be able to move into the Midwest and along the Eastern Seaboard, not to mention California, and fill the jobs that Americans are apparently no longer willing to fill because they’re still sucking off of the welfare teat. A win/win.

Some may stay in the RGV, but if our unemployment is so low, why do I still see signs everywhere I go, looking for employees? Fast-food jobs paying way more than the minimum wage, and no one wants a job here? Don’t worry, with no border in place, Mexicans will fix that.

Most newcomers who think America is so great will be stuck in Cleveland in January, while we’re down in Tampico, enjoying an empty beach, free of cartel gunmen because they all moved north and are now fighting the Proud Boys up in Colorado.

As a citizen of Mexamerica, we’ll pay less taxes, mainly because Mexico doesn’t love wars as much as we do, so there will be less need to print more money. Plus, when I move south of the Rio Grande, I’m sure not paying anymore taxes. Don’t care what they say. I’ll get paid in cash.

With all of the produce and vegetables grown in Mexico, sorry, Mexamerica, Americamex, whichever, store shopping won’t be needed as often. Just stop by the side of the rural road and pick some tomatoes, lettuce, or whatever. Pay the farmer a few bucks, he’ll probably give you a nice cold drink out of the well, and you’re good to go.

All we’ll have to do is secure Mexico’s southern border. That’s something Mexicans are good at. They don’t fool around. If they want a border shut, they’ll shut it. Being part of a new country, they’ll sure want to protect it. I feel sorry for the Central Americans, but that can’t be helped. On second thought, most of Mexico will be empty of people once we open the border, they’ve all have moved to the American cities looking for more money, so why not let the Central Americans follow them?

We can then go down to San Miguel de Allende, enjoy life as it used to be, and restore Mexico to what it once was — a land of tranquil bliss and natural beauty.

The idea of freedom is also better instilled in the Mexican spirit. There aren’t so many laws. Can’t do this, can’t do that. Tell a Mexican guy that he’s not “woke” enough, and he’ll probably punch you. Good. Plus, the police won’t arrest you for simple assault.

Maybe when we form a new country, we can get rid of that controlling mentality so embedded in America’s system of justice, which is actually a system of injustice.

I miss the old Mexico. So if opening up the U.S. border fixes Mexico and makes American far-left liberals happy, I say open it up. This country is already lost. Let Mexico’s problems flow here – the cartels might have a problem, though, because unlike Mexico, most Texans own guns and our cops are still in control of things. Can’t be helped. They won’t be able to resist the opportunities.

Meanwhile, the rest of us who still seek more personal freedom, fewer rules and regulations, more peace and tranquility, will be happier as we head south.

Only thing is, the states remain the same in both countries. It’s just that movement between them won’t be regulated. The cartel guys can head to Colorado, and the rest of us can head south without having to worry about any speeding ticket.

Question is, where will the central power elite meet? D.C. or Mexico City? At the top of the food chain, in both countries, it’s the crooks (mostly) that rule the roost, so neither country is different in that regard.

I say, keep the power structure in D.C. That way, while living in San Miguel, we won’t have to worry about another Capitol insurrection any time soon.

Stolen elections? Won’t matter. Never matters who wins. Nothing ever changes, either south of the border or north of the border. The regular people always get the short end of the stick. It’s just that living in Mexico would be preferable to the U.S., but not in its current state.

Open up the borders.

An added plus, we can stop worrying about who crosses the border. There won’t be any border, but you’ll still have to pass through the Falfurrias Border Checkpoint.

Viva Mexamerica and Open Borders.

Salud.
