Last Supper at the Olympics draws ire
To the editor:
Are you angered like me when the Paris Summer Olympics opened its program by exhibiting a display that many, including me, believe blasphemed God by mocking De Vinci’s famous painting, The Last Supper?
I’m a proud Mexican-American, but I’m also a proud Catholic who feels that our Christian religion is being discriminated against by those French liberal executives, and others too numerous to name.
Why don’t they imitate the Quran or the Muslim religion? We all know the answer to that.
Yes, I’m a 70-year-old retired conservative man, but these French executives are mocking our Lord Jesus Christ.
My PSJA friends, let’s unite — whether we are young or old, Democrat or Republican. rich or poor — and oppose anyone, any entity that would mock the Lord Jesus.
Sincerely,
Ricardo Rosales Sr.
