There were five teams from the Rio Grande Valley who represented the region this past weekend at the 7-on-7 state tournament in College Station.Four of the squads were from Hidalgo County — PSJA North, Weslaco, Economedes and Mercedes. The last squad from Cameron County were the Port Isabel Tarpons.Out of the five, the Raiders from PSJA North went the furthest in tournament play as they advanced to the second round of the Division 1 Championship bracket.
