At 101 years young, Wanda Boush is a walking, talking history book, with no signs of slowing down. In fact, this Monday, she was getting ready to drive over to a local restaurant from her Alamo home to have lunch with a friend, one of the former presidents of UTRGV, back when it was the Pan American University.
The Weslaco mayor, in office for 10 years, is gone, courtesy of last week’s election, and so is Alamo’s mayor, who has held that office since 2011, 12 years.
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District student Madison Rose Orozco, was featured in Time Square on Sept. 9 as part of the annual National Down Syndrome Society Time Square Video Presentation.
Continuing their efforts to raise money for student scholarships and teacher grants, members of the PSJA Education Foundation raised thousands of dollars during their 11th Annual Fundraiser Gala held at the Bert Ogden Arena on Sept. 7.
