Pharr, Salvation Army to provide free meals to those affected by flooding

PHARR —  As of Wednesday, the City of Pharr is linking up with the Salvation Army to host a free drive-thru food distribution to those affected by the recent flooding. 

From Wednesday through Friday, food distribution will be open to anyone in the area who needs assistance. The distribution for each day will begin at 6 p.m.

However, supplies are limited, so it will be a first-come, first-served basis. No registration is required, those affected will need to drive through.

The distribution event is at Jones Box Park, located at 1201 W. Rosa Lane in Pharr.

"The City of Pharr supports our community during this challenging time," the city said in a release. "We encourage those in need to take advantage of this essential resource."
