The City of Pharr rang in New Year’s Eve with a record-breaking 8,447 attendees — compared to 6,000 last year — who enjoyed a night of family fun, live music, and a spectacular drone show at the second annual NYE Ball Drop.
In about one month, McAllen will see thousands of runners take to the streets for the McAllen Marathon Scott Crane Run, taking place on Jan. 20. All races, including the marathon, half-marathon, relay marathon, 10K, 5K and Kids Final Mile will be held that day, starting from the McAllen Convention Center, 700 Convention Center Blvd, with runs starting at 7 a.m.
