County’s top doc has lost any hope that people will choose to do the right thing

With regard to COVID-19, do you want to read the bad news first, or the good news? You might want to choose the bad news, because, well, after just getting off the phone with Ivan Melendez, M.D., Hidalgo County’s Health Authority, listening to what he had to say, the good news seems to be in short supply if not downright absent from sight these days.

Virus hoax?

The news these days is hard to fathom. On one hand this week, I see conflicting headlines all over the place. Such as, “Covid spreading faster than ever,” along with, “Hospitals nationwide see flood of patients” (Source: MSN.com).

As such, my stories/columns are allegedly slanted in their favor, and according to another poster, The Advance News is “horrid.”
