I’m going to take the COVID-19 vaccine (two shots) as soon as I can get my hands on it. This afternoon works; but so far, I haven’t been able to set up an appointment, and I’m not even sure if the Pfizer vaccine has yet landed in Hidalgo County. Should be here this week, according to Hidalgo County officials, but the first doses are reserved for those who work in the healthcare industry.
You’d think I’d have better things to do last Saturday than lie on the couch watching the Trump rally in DC being live streamed. It was about as enjoyable as a root canal. It’s just that I couldn’t take my eyes off the thousands of people in attendance.

Let me say right up front, there is absolutely no proof that Mexico’s president, the so-called populist Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, is in bed with the drug traffickers, but if one looks at his recent move tied to U.S. federal agents, namely the DEA, then some people will undoubtedly ask, que paso, amigo?
Probably every generation thinks the same, but I really do think I grew up in the best of times – 1955 to when I stumbled into my 18 year in 1973. Besides the sad assassinations, the Viet Nam conflict, Kent State, racial unrest, and other events that were anything but pleasant, that time period for most people on a personal level were great times.
