Fifty-one years after America’s big hit — “A Horse with No Name” — was released, and two of the band’s three founders are still touring. In fact, the band comes to McAllen next weekend. Baby Boomers like me should rejoice that so much of the old music is still alive. Funny, but based on the number of song/album downloads from Apple Music, etc., Spotify, the most popular music genre even among the young includes classic rock/folk (late 1960s, ‘70s).The song that never really made a lot of sense when you deciphered the lyrics — “ A Horse with No Name” ...
