ALAMO - As part of National Postcard Month, the City of Alamo Museum has several hundred postcards on exhibit through the month of May. The display was provided by Demaris Swint of Alamo, who has been collecting postcards for approximately 60 years, starting at the age of 12 when some pen pals sent her some hand-made cards from Japan. It piqued her interest, and she began collecting cards from all over the world. It was her entrance into traveling the world through these little cardboard pictures, she said.
