PHARR – The Pharr Community Theater (PCT) presents Four Short Plays/Cuatro Obras Cortas in Spanish to be presented at three different performances spaces in Pharr from September 23, 2021 through October 2, 2021. In rehearsals since late July, ten local actors will play all the roles including Wendy B. Lara, who also wrote the first monologue, as Doña Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez, a heroine from 19th century Mexico. Ortiz de Dominguez is largely responsible for helping initiate Mexico’s fight for independence from Old Spain.
