EDINBURG — The Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District recently received a donation of 20,000 N-95 face masks from one of its parents and business owners.
“We did it for the safety of our kids and for the safety of anyone that walks on campus,” said Juan Mena, co-owner of Rio Wireless. “My kids, the teachers and everyone around campus will be safe.”
Three of Mena’s daughters attend Edinburg CISD schools, which is why he said he donated the masks to the District. His company provided additional masks to other nearby school districts.
