The Vanguard GEAR UP Project took the initiative to introduce the Families Engaging in Emotionally Healthy Lifestyles (FEEHL) program, a series of parent sessions dedicated to enriching their understanding of social-emotional learning (SEL). These sessions focus on the profound impact SEL can have on self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills within the family environment. By actively participating in the FEEHL program, parents gain valuable insights into the significance of SEL, enabling them to effectively foster their children’s social-emotional learning. Equipped with this understanding, parents can better support their children in navigating everyday challenges, leading to improved academic, professional, and social growth.
