PHARR – Making district history, 96 seniors in Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD’s Early College Program were candidates for South Texas College’s (STC) Fall Commencement Ceremonies held last month. According to South Texas College, this fall a total of 163 high school students in dual credit programs across the RGV were named candidates for associate degrees or certifications. Of the 163, 96 candidates were from PSJA ISD’s Early College Program with 92 receiving Associate Degrees and 4 receiving industry certifications in various fields including Biology, Criminal Justice, Engineering, Mathematics, and Interdisciplinary Studies, to name a few.
