Not counting the weather, charter pilots can usually tell if it’s going to be a good or bad flight soon after meeting the passengers. If the forecast route is going to be bumpy, and the passenger group includes a small child, making sure the barf bag is handy is a smart thing to do right off the bat. If you’re a professional pilot, you get to know puke. Call it one of the downsides to the profession.
