City of Pharr, Connect Humanity, and Region One ESC: $10 million fund

The City of Pharr, Connect Humanity, a non-profit fund for digital equity, and Region One ESC held a joint press conference last week to announce their plans to launch a $10 Million fund to invest in the digitalization of businesses in the Texas Rio Grande Valley in a bid to drive economic growth. The fund will invest in high-speed connectivity, digital transformation, and skills development for businesses in Hidalgo and Cameron counties.

The City of Edinburg & UTRGV seeking volunteers for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall

EDINBURG — The City of Edinburg, in collaboration with UTRGV, will host the 375-foot-long replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, also known as The Wall That Heals, on April 20-23, 2023. The Wall honors the more than 3 million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces during the Vietnam War and bears the names of the 58,281 brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice, including 15 from Edinburg as well as another 137 Fallen Heroes from Brooks, Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, and Willacy Counties.
