PHARR — The City of Pharr will host the inaugural Holi Pharr Festival of Colors to commemorate the arrival of spring. Together with the local Indian community and Indian association, Pharr joins communities across the world in celebration of this festive occasion, which marks the arrival of spring and the passing of winter in a fun, joyous, and colorful event. City leaders hope to make this an annual event and invite the entire community to join in the celebration.

Each spring, Monarch Butterflies migrate north and east around March or April. On Saturday, April 2nd, Quinta Mazatlan will be hosting the annual Monarch Fest from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in McAllen, with the Bug Parade at 11 a.m.
Cinderella’s featured dogs this week are little Chaucer and great big Diesel Dog. They are a couple of beautiful examples of brindle coat coloring, a relatively rare coat color where light and dark colors mix it up to present indeterminate striping.
