‘America’ comes to the Rio Grande Valley

‘America’ comes to the Rio Grande Valley

Fifty-one years after America’s big hit — “A Horse with No Name” — was released, and two of the band’s three founders are still touring. In fact, the band comes to McAllen next weekend. Baby Boomers like me should rejoice that so much of the old music is still alive. Funny, but based on the number of song/album downloads from Apple Music, etc., Spotify, the most popular music genre even among the young includes classic rock/folk (late 1960s, ‘70s).

Hi, my name is Lorde! I’ve been described as “really friendly with people and other dogs” and “very good on the leash” by the PVAS staff. I’m a calm, laid-back pup who makes friends everywhere I go. I enjoy time spent outside with my kennel mate and in playgroups with other dogs where I mostly like to do my own thing. Because of my sophisticated behavior, I would prefer to be in a home with adults only, but I promise I won’t disappoint as being a great addition to any household! Meet me at our Andrews Center today.
