PHARR - In 1997 while living and learning in Albuquerque, NM, Hidalgo,TX native, Pedro Garcia, worked in the local community theater arena, when he was asked by a literacy center to create and perform a short children’s story, set on día de los muertos, and have it talk about the importance of reading and writing starting at an early age.
