Feel like getting some sick leave? Go to GOP convention in Houston

All these years, state Republicans have worked to convince Lone Start State residents that they were in favor of the War on Drugs, while at the same time, by the looks of next week’s planned state convention in Houston, many of them have obviously been doing some serious drugs for years. Meth maybe? Who knows. Smack? It’s not pot because they’d be on the couch watching an old Cheech and Chong movie, but it may be booze. A lot of it. That, too, can cause early dementia. I mention “dementia,” because who else without clear mental faculties would still be planning for the Texas GOP state convention next week in Houston? Brown Convention Center. Unlike probably every other state, Texas is so big, convention attendees often exceed those at the national convention. So, if approximately 7,000 is the average attendance at state events, how many Trump voters are expected next week? The party hasn’t yet said. Party leaders are still on Zoom listening to Trump tell them that they have nothing to worry about. This Covid stuff will be gone by Monday. Should have been gone by Easter, but somebody screwed up. The Houston Hookers are bummed though. When a convention comes to town, there are usually enough customers around ...
