Special to the AdvancePHARR — Making district history, the PSJA Early College High School (PSJA ECHS) Mighty Bear Band competed at the UIL 6A Area Marching Contest in Laredo on Oct. 21 and was named the UIL Area Champions.The band will now advance to the UIL State Marching Contest to be held at the Alamodome in San Antonio on Oct. 30-31.The PSJA ECHS Mighty Bear Band is the first PSJA ISD Marching Band to earn 1st place at the UIL Area Marching Contest.This will be the second time in campus history that the PSJA ECHS Mighty Bear Band advances to the ...
