Monica Melissa Palacios Patterson’s criminal appeal date with the Texas 13th District Court of Appeals was cancelled late last week. Originally set for this Thursday, Sept. 26, the hearing is now set for Oct. 23rd. The three judges set to hear the appeal include Justices Gina Benavides, Greg Perkes, and Jaime Tijerina. According to the letter sent out by the 13th: “The Court has determined this case merits oral argument. The Court expects both parties to be present and ready for argument even if only one party has requested oral argument. Each side is allowed twenty minutes to present its case.
