Hidalgo County Commissioners Court approved $3.5 million in CARES Act funding to go towards the creation of the Hidalgo County CARES Small Business Grant Program designed to assist businesses with monies related to the cost of business interruption caused by the required closure related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This program was designed to offer financial aid to our small business community that took a hard hit during the economic crisis many experienced due to this pandemic,” said Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez.
