Alamo man sentenced to 25 years for sexual abuse of a child

— A Hidalgo County Jury found an Alamo man guilty on three counts of sexual abuse of a child and he was sentenced to 25 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division.A jury trial was held for Miguel Angel Chavez, 59, from October 3 to October 6 in the 206th District Court. After deliberations, the jury found Chavez guilty on October 6.
