As part of Alamo’s Veterans Day program Nov. 11, State Sen. Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa recognized local military veterans attending the ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Plaza along Alamo Road. Hinojosa is also a veteran who served in Vietnam. The family of World War II veteran M.P. Manuel Soto also were recognized. The program, which included a wreath-laying ceremony, PSJA Memorial Early College High School Jr. ROTC color guard and Wolverine band providing patriotic music and taps, was arranged by directors of the Alamo Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center. ...
