SAN JUAN - Students from Raul Yzaguirre Middle School's Knitting Club in the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo School District, visited with residents from the San Juan Nursing Home prior to the holidays to donate dozens of scarves.
It took the RYMS Knitting Club about two months to make a total of 50 scarves. According to Club Sponsor Sahara Hedrick, the school has been doing this work for about 11 years as a way to brighten up someone’s day during the holidays.
