Carbon Monoxide blamed for death of Edinburg Family

EDINBURG – At approximately 6:43 p.m., Monday, July 27, Edinburg police responded to the 2000 Block of Woodstone Dr. in reference to a welfare concern. Upon arrival, police discovered four family members deceased and a 12-year-old girl alive, who was rushed to the hospital. She is listed in critical condition. Ages of the deceased family members include 34, 33, 17 and 11-years old. With further investigation, it appears there was no foul play and this death was caused by carbon monoxide poisoning from a generator found inside the home. The city of Edinburg hosted a press conference Tuesday, July 28, at 3 p.m.
