CBP seizes over $2.5M in meth at bridge

Customs and Border Protection officers recently seized methamphetamine at the Juarez-Lincoln Bridge, according to a Friday release.The alleged narcotics in the seizure totaled $2,579,003 in street value.CBP said that the seizure occurred on Aug. 25 at the bridge when an officer referred a 2011 Honda CR-V for secondary inspection following a canine alert during primary inspection.Upon further inspection, CBP officers discovered 280.47 pounds of alleged methamphetamine concealed within the Honda.The agency seized the narcotics and the vehicle. Homeland Security Investigations special agents are currently investigating the seizures.
