McALLEN - The Bicentennial Extension Project will construct Bicentennial Avenue from Trenton Road to SH 107 an additional 2.8 miles. The improvements include a 4-lane curb and gutter roadway with center turn lanes at each intersection. This limited access facility will provide a new mobility corridor to reduce congestion on nearby arterials. The project was designed by Halff Associates, Inc. and the construction contract was awarded to Texas Cordia Construction, LLC of Edinburg, Texas in an amount of approximately $12.6 million with a contract time of 359 working days.
